After thirty years in insurance, I started Oak & Barrel because I wanted to build the kind of agency I’d want to work with myself. One where clients know their advisor, can pick up the phone when something changes, and get thoughtful guidance instead of a transaction.
We take the time to know our clients, their businesses, and their families. That’s how we believe insurance should work.
Our team
Our team is made up of former executives from insurance, manufacturing, and corporate C-suites. Frankly, retirement was boring, so we got back in the game.
Jeff Fairchild
Founder, Oak & Barrel
Jeff Fairchild founded Oak & Barrel after more than 30 years of building, leading, and growing insurance businesses. His career has taken him from serving clients to leading agencies and producers. Most recently, serving as Director of Growth for Acrisure.
Over the course of his career, Jeff has watched the insurance industry increasingly migrate upstream toward larger commercial accounts, often leaving Main Street businesses without the level of advice, advocacy, and personal attention they deserve. At the same time, personal insurance has increasingly shifted toward centralized service models, creating distance between clients and the people who know them, their families, and their needs.
Jeff founded Oak & Barrel to offer an alternative—bringing the experience and capabilities of a larger brokerage together with the personal relationships, accessibility, and accountability of a local agency. For Jeff, insurance has always been a relationship business. Oak & Barrel was built around a simple idea: know your clients, understand what matters to them, and be there when they need you.
Ron Binkauskas
VP of Sales
Ron Binkauskas brings more than 35 years of executive leadership, sales, and business experience to Oak & Barrel. His career has included senior leadership roles with global organizations, including Lexmark International, where he served as Vice President and General Manager, as well as advising major companies on supplier strategy and negotiation.
Throughout his career, Ron has worked with organizations ranging from Main Street businesses to Fortune 100 companies and has seen firsthand what separates a vendor from a true business partner. The best relationships are built on understanding the client’s business, earning their trust, and being personally accountable for delivering results.
That perspective is central to Oak & Barrel. Ron believes business owners and families deserve experienced advisors who take the time to understand them—not simply a transaction or a service model. He joined Oak & Barrel to bring decades of business experience, relationships, and perspective to an agency built around personal service and long-term partnerships.
